At NQX, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) start with access. As the first BPO company to establish a local headquarters in Rizal, outside traditional business districts, NQX has long championed the idea of bringing quality job opportunities closer to communities and local talent. For the past decade, NQX has helped create career paths for individuals who might face challenges to employment, such as long commutes, relocation issues, or limited local job options.
Building on its commitment to strengthening regional economies, NQX recently announced plans to expand its countryside presence over the next three years. This move is expected to create more than 700 direct jobs through new provincial sites. The expansion plans were discussed with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. by NQX CEO John Dinardo as part of the President’s official visit to Canada on July 3.
NQX further supports this approach through hybrid work arrangements and preference-based scheduling, enabling employees to balance personal and professional responsibilities while maintaining high performance and engagement. For working parents, these initiatives create meaningful opportunities to advance their careers while staying present and involved in their families and communities.
The company has implemented systems that reinforce its commitment to inclusion with benefits designed to support employees at different life stages. These include solo parent leave, special leave for women under the Magna Carta for Women, and a fourteen-day paternity leave and six-month maternity leave benefit, double the standard practice in the Philippines.
As part of its DEI efforts, NQX takes practical steps to create an inclusive workplace. NQX recently earned the Mother-Baby Friendly Workplace certification, recognizing its efforts to support nursing mothers. It also offers dedicated lactation lounges and compensable lactation breaks to help breastfeeding employees continue their maternal journey while pursuing their careers. Across its sites, gender-neutral restrooms and designated sleeping quarters are available to meet the diverse needs of its workforce, reinforcing the company’s dedication to employee comfort and accessibility.
Beyond workplace benefits, NQX’s commitment to inclusion also extends to how it attracts, develops, and advances talent. The company uses standardized hiring processes and talent management practices focused on skills, qualifications, and performance, ensuring that opportunities are based on merit and capability. Supporting this effort is NQX’s Certified Q Recruiter Program, an internal learning initiative designed to promote a consistent, competency-based approach to hiring across the organization.
“The best workplaces don’t lower standards. They remove barriers,” said Jun Abo, Global Vice President for Human Resources, NQX. “At NQX, every person deserves an equal opportunity to succeed. What matters is not your gender, age, religion, or background. What matters is your character, your capability, and the value you create.”
Throughout the first half of 2026, NQX further reinforced these DEI principles through various employee engagement and culture-building initiatives that acknowledge the diverse experiences of its workforce. This includes celebrations of Women’s Month, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and Pride Month.
During Women’s Month in March, NQX highlighted the contributions of women across the organization with activities such as Purple Power theme day, a dance class, an ice cream cart, and a drop-in cinema event. Mother’s Day and Father’s Day celebrations likewise showcased the experiences of working parents through spotlight features, appreciation walls, themed engagements, and wellness initiatives, including free haircuts for fathers.
Pride Month marked the culmination of NQX’s first-half DEI observances, reaffirming the company’s commitment to creating an environment where employees can bring their true selves to work. Employees were encouraged to wear rainbow colors as part of the theme day, along with activities like Pride-themed photobooth, a makeup transformation challenge, and a drop-in cinema featuring LGBTQIA+-focused films that promote awareness and understanding.
These initiatives reflect NQX’s broader efforts to create opportunities, address the changing needs of its workforce, and foster a culture where everyone can thrive. At NQX, DEI commitment is not just about workplace events, but about the opportunities it creates, the barriers it helps eliminate, and the people it empowers to succeed.
“While our initiatives here at NQX provide moments of celebration and recognition, our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion goes far beyond commemorative events,” said Karen Diane Llana, Vice President for Marketing & Communications, NQX Philippines. “We champion a culture where everyday interactions make every employee feel seen, heard, and supported, whether through access to opportunities, family-oriented programs, and inclusive workplace practices.”
As NQX continues to grow, its commitment to DEI remains strong. The company’s approach is guided by a simple principle: diversity makes organizations stronger, and inclusion brings people closer together.
