NQX, Mayor Leni Robredo Discuss Community Partnerships and  Regional Growth Opportunities

NAGA CITY, Philippines – NQX Philippines, formerly Quantrics, and Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo discussed the importance of public-private collaboration in advancing workforce development, community engagement, and regional growth during a recent courtesy call at Naga City Hall.

The engagement comes as NQX explores opportunities for countryside expansion and deepens investment in local talent. NQX currently employs about 1,600 people in Naga, making it the biggest employer in the city. The company projects the creation of at least 725 additional jobs over the next three years across the Philippines. NQX noted that it continues to review growth opportunities in emerging regional hubs, as part of its commitment to bringing more career opportunities closer to local communities.

Representing NQX during the meeting were NQX Global Vice President for Human Resources Jun Abo and Vice President of Operations, Geoffrey Guin.

“NQX sees significant opportunities in regional locations and is committed to expanding quality job opportunities beyond traditional business hubs. Our goal is to enable people to advance their careers while remaining close to their families, fostering stronger communities, and supporting sustainable local economic growth,” said Geoffrey Guin, NQX Vice President of Operations.

Mayor Robredo highlighted Naga City’s recent attainment of Highly Urbanized City status, further positioning the city as an attractive destination for business expansion, investment, and economic activity. She also shared updates on the city’s ongoing development initiatives, including airport runway improvements that support future investment opportunities.

As one of the region’s biggest private employers, NQX also shared its ongoing efforts in talent development through learning initiatives, including building AI competencies within its workforce. These initiatives support the delivery of high-quality customer experience solutions for clients around the world while equipping local talent with future-ready skills.

The company also expressed its willingness to extend its AI learning sessions to employees of the Naga City Government as part of its broader commitment to digital upskilling to build long-term competitiveness in both businesses and communities.

“Great organizations are built by great people,” said Jun Abo, NQX Global VP for HR. “At NQX, we believe our success is measured not only by business results, but by the positive impact we create in the communities we serve. We are honored to meet with Mayor Leni Robredo and explore meaningful partnerships that can create opportunities, develop local talent, and contribute to the continued growth of Naga City and the broader Bicol region.”

Other discussions centered on opportunities to strengthen partnerships that promote community well-being. NQX highlighted its recent memorandum of agreement with Naga City General Hospital, aimed at enhancing employee access to quality healthcare services and reinforcing the company’s commitment to employee well-being.

The meeting also touched on NQX’s long-standing partnership with the Naga community. Among these is the company’s continued support for the annual Peñafrancia Festival, one of the city’s most significant cultural and religious celebrations. This year marks NQX’s seventh consecutive year of supporting the festival, reaffirming its commitment to giving back to the community it serves.

Guin also offered the NQX Naga site to be considered by the local government as a ‘safe space’ during calamities. “We are willing to open our sites, in cooperation with the government, to the community, whenever a typhoon hits the province. We are in a safe location; we have electricity – we are ready to share these comforts with the people of Naga, in times of need,” he added.
